In our next Justia Webinar, accredited for one hour of General MCLE credit in California, we are exploring the world of modern legal research tools and the challenges that arise as the law goes digital.
Learn More About “How Laws Get Online: Challenges in Free Law”
In this webinar, attendees will gain valuable insights into the intricacies that arise in the process of making the law accessible online. The presentation will first explore the journey of the law from legislative approval to online accessibility. Then, it will dive into the intersection of copyright law, public access and the free law movement, and popular legal research platforms and tools.
How Law Get Online: Challenges in Free Law will be broadcast at 2:00 p.m. ET/11:00 a.m. PT on Friday, September 8, 2023, and speakers Sara Frug and Craig Newton will be available to take live questions at the end of the broadcast! All Justia Connect members are invited to attend the webinar, but only Justia Connect Pros are able to earn one hour of California General MCLE credit for their participation. Justia Connect Pro members in other jurisdictions may also be able to earn CLE credit for their attendance by submitting the course via their state’s CLE self-submission process.

Earn CLE Credit for Attending
As mentioned above, How Law Get Online: Challenges in Free Law is accredited for one hour of General MCLE credit in California. However, other states may award credit to participating attorneys on a case-by-case basis via that jurisdiction’s CLE self-submission process.
Following the presentation, Justia Connect Pro members may earn CLE credit by completing the required verification process within 48 hours of the scheduled conclusion of the live broadcast. A reminder email will be sent to participating lawyers shortly after the webinar, outlining the necessary steps to complete verification. Eligible attorneys can also complete the verification process by visiting their Justia Connect dashboard, clicking the CLE Center block, and following the system prompts.
Lawyers who have a Justia Connect Pro Membership and cannot make the live broadcast but remain interested in earning CLE credit for this course may also take the course as an on-demand CLE class.
