As the legal industry continues to become increasingly competitive, lawyers and law firms are seeking new ways to reach potential clients. The advent of the internet and the growth of digital advertising strategies have opened up a new world of legal marketing opportunities. With this, however, has come a new set of ethical concerns for lawyers who want to take advantage of the latest in marketing strategies without running afoul of the obligations imposed on attorney conduct by the Rules of Professional Responsibility.
That’s why Justia Webinars is excited to announce The Ethics of Online Advertising and Marketing. Check out this post to learn more about this exciting presentation and how lawyers can register for this week’s presentation.
What Will Be Covered in the Next Justia Webinar?
Attendees at The Ethics of Online Advertising and Marketing will listen as Tim Stanley, CEO of Justia, explores a wide range of ethical issues related to digital legal marketing, including law firm websites and blogs, local directories and reviews, lead generation and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, social media advertising, and more!
The presentation will discuss the use of certain targeting strategies for various users, as well as examine the implications of changes in advertising platforms. The discussion will also delve into some of the ethical issues raised by fake reviews, privacy policies, and accessibility issues.
Interested lawyers can review the full webinar agenda here.
As a bonus, this presentation is approved for one hour of Legal Ethics MCLE credit in California, making it a valuable educational opportunity for lawyers looking to also earn continuing legal education credit for their participation. Other jurisdictions may also award credit for attendance at the presentation on a case-by-case basis through that state’s self-submission process.
