Our 2023-2024 Supreme Court Term Preview will offer exclusive insights into some of the most potentially pivotal cases on the Supreme Court docket that present interesting and unique issues faced by our legal system. Professor Amar and Professor Dorf plan to explore key matters being considered by the Court, including Second Amendment issues in United States v. Rahimi and fiscal and administrative issues in Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo (Chevron deference), CFPB v. Community Financial Services (appropriations clause), and Corner Post, Inc. v. Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve (tolling of statute of limitations).
The presentation will then move on to discuss administrative law and civil liberties in SEC v. Jarkesy before considering First Amendment and social media issues in Lindke v. Freed, Moody v. Netchoice, Netchoice v. Paxton, and O’Connor-Ratcliff v. Garnier. Attendees can also expect to conclude with a discussion of taxation in Moore v. United States.
