Each month, Google sends a partner newsletter that helps keep search engine marketing professionals in the know on the latest changes impacting the ever-evolving Google Local Services Ads (LSAs)! We continue to sort through that information and share the updates that matter to lawyers and legal marketers with all of you. Keep reading to learn more.
New: Job Type Filters Implemented on Mobile
Google has implemented a new mobile feature that allows users to better find the right service provider for their needs. For instance, even when someone knows they need an injury lawyer, they may not know the type of injury lawyer they need or may be unfamiliar with niche specialties. With this new feature, searchers can filter their personal injury lawyer LSA results to see lawyers specializing in certain related sub-practice areas, such as automobile accidents or bicycle accidents.
The new filtering feature is available in mobile search results for all verticals (industries). It displays directly beneath the “Google Screened” label, as shown in the screenshot below.
Reminder: General Law Leads Dispute Policies
Google has launched a feature that allows legal providers to opt-in to receive more general law leads not necessarily tied to a specific practice area. Due to the nature of these leads and the optional opt-in for general law leads, providers who opt in also waive the right to dispute lead payment on the basis that they do not offer services related to that lead. However, if your firm receives a non-law lead and is charged, you can still file a dispute.
If you have opted in and no longer wish to receive general law leads, you can head to your LSAs profile page and deselect the option “show on general lawyer queries.” If your LSAs are managed by Justia, you can also contact your Justia Amplify Marketing Specialist for assistance.
